Job Requirements
"Major Duties Job Description:
Manage, sustain and build a SW development organization that is currently 30+ in size. Development organization should scale across multiple programs and customer deliverables working with worldwide teams in similar and related domain areas. Domain area of development is OS base port, device drivers and low level software enablers for application processors and digital base band SoCs. Enabler Software spans across system bootstrap for different processor architectures, multimedia, UI, connectivity and peripheral device drivers.
Key requirements:
Technical strength in the areas of OS, ARM processors and embedded software
Strong communication and ability to interface across diverse functional roles (Program managers, senior management, product marketing and 3P vendors)
Ability to build an efficient structure and next level team organization that fosters scalability in execution, efficiencies in R&D cost and at the same maintaining high level of innovation, technical excellence and SW quality
Proven leadership skills and talent grooming
Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
Prior experience of managing development teams with a good mix of technical know-how and people management skills
High energy with resilience and adaptability to change
Willingness to learn and set high standards for the teams
Knowledge and expertise in 1 or more of the below technical Areas:
- Development in RTOS and HLOS
- Mobile handset SW
- ARM Architecture
- Embedded Software development, test and release

- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering
- 5 to 8 years of industry experience with at least 2 years of management experience
- Prior experience managing team size of 10+ "
