| Primary duties:
- Providing regular, daily software builds for RandD and PV
- Perform Configuration Management (CM) tasks including code building, multi-site code merging, and ClearCase site maintenance.
- Working cross-functionally between RandD and Operations to ensure that issues and priorities are managed according to plans
- Implementing solutions that are minimally disruptive to ongoing Operations and RandD activity
- Monitoring the existing infrastructure for additional automation opportunities
- Taking actions to rectify situations where the build/ test environment exhibits signs of sub-optimal behavior
- Continuing process improvement for increasing productivity and predictability
- Effective collaboration with global CVA CM teams to achieve high process efficiency in achieving business goals
- Industry experience in a CM role is a must. Experience of working on the UNIX platform and usage of a Version Control tool like ClearCase is a must. Should be proficient in UNIX shell scripting.
- Familiar with make and compilation process. Fluent on Sun OS, Linux is a must.
- Clearcase experience is a strong match. Knowledge of PERL is a plus. Work experience in multi-team, multi-sited projects is a plus. Experience in working with computing clusters/ server farms/ grid computing is a definite plus.
- Candidate should have a track record of practicing Quality Processes and Practices. A clear understanding of the Software Development Process (or a Product Development Process) is essential. He/ she should have good communication skills and a track record as a good team player.
