"Position Summary: The ideal candidate should be an experienced Information Technology software development professional to manage a team of software development and programming professionals in Bangalore, India. This position requires business and technical management experience and will be: 1. Jointly accountable to for Equity Investment Management Technology and the local Solutions Center Delivery Manager for the efficient and effective management of the technology unit. 2. Responsible for overseeing all administrative, operational and service delivery functions while adhering to the local and global policies. 3. Responsible for advancing the interests of Equity Investment Management Technology and the Solutions Center. Supervision of Vendor Personnel assigned to the Equity Investment Management Technology, which covers: o Equity Research and Portfolio Management o Equity Trading o Foreign Exchange (FX) Portfolio Management and Trading Administrative Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for administrative operations of the delivery unit and the delegation of responsibility within the unit. 2. Directly responsible for the effective delivery of high quality products and services including: a. Software Application Development b. Software Maintenance and Support c. Software Quality Assurance 3. Responsible for the operation of appropriate project and business development activities. 4. Accountable for ensuring that all contract deliverables are managed efficiently and effectively in accordance with policies. 5. Establishes and maintains a quality improvement process for the unit, including the periodic assessment of customer satisfaction. 6. Responsible for providing the local Delivery Manager with accurate and timely reporting to satisfy all company and client reporting obligations. 7. Responsible for participating in any company audits, with appropriate actions taken that are consistent with the findings. 8. Responsible for the development, maintenance and timely updating of operational procedures as appropriate. 9. Manages to ensure that effective communication is maintained with all appropriate management and customers. 10. Designates a member of the staff to serve as deputy during absences. 11. Ensures that safety of all employees, guests, visitors and others is adequately addressed and maintained. Personnel Management: 1. Works with the IT Executive and the EIMT Development Managers to plan and design an organizational and staffing plan to accommodate the needs of its technology group. 2. Works with Human Resources to support the recruiting, hiring, promoting, rewarding, disciplining and terminating employees in accordance with established policies and procedures. 3. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures in accordance with pertinent federal, state, and local government requirements. 4. Maintains an effective working relationship with all employees and vendors. 5. Promotes the company philosophy, principles, and values among all employees. 6. Monitors the productive performance of all personnel through appropriate forms of employee professional development, the maintenance of written descriptions of all positions and the effective application of an employee appraisal process. 7. Takes responsibility for the equitable application of personnel policies and procedures. 8. Demonstrates the importance of continuing professional development by engaging in formal and informal means of continuing professional education. Organizational Responsibilities: 1. Periodically assesses delivery unit activities, organizational structure and staffing partners. 2. Implements change as appropriate, or depending on the negotiated designation of authority jointly approved by the Delivery Manager and the IT Executive. 3. Responsible for developing and maintaining effective local and regional networks and other affiliations as appropriate, in accordance with the policies. Planning Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for formulating and presenting work plans and budget recommendations, for annual approval and is an active participant in the annual review, of the capital budget. 2. Responsible for the periodic review and updating of short and long term strategic plans aimed at achieving the mission and goals of compan. Technical Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for leading development, testing, maintenance and production support activities. 2. Interfaces with onsite coordinators and EIMT Development Managers to obtain requirements and turn over completed work. 3. Develops detailed project plans. 4. Responsible for adhering to Service Level Agreements for production support. 5. Serves as the main point of contact for onshore project management and development management " "Education and Experience Requirements: Education/Training Masters prepared in a relevant discipline such as business administration, computer science, and/or engineering.
