| Job Description: * The candidate will be responsible for software testing activities within the scope of one or more projects. He /She will need to interact with clients and/or the team during all phases of delivery to devise the test strategy and plans and lead the software testing cycle. Candidates will be required to have an understanding of the complete scope of work assigned, its usage, technical architecture and functionality. They will be expected to provide technical leadership to the test teams and will be responsible for all testing activities affecting client deliverables as per the project processes and guidelines. * In addition, the position requires the incumbents to be able to assist in Business Analysis and pre sales activities such as scoping and sizing of work and proposing technical solutions. * The candidate is expected to be a hands on person by nature, must have the habit of taking initiative to improve execution, and should possess strong leadership and mentoring potential. Desired Profile: * Carry out investigations to find suitable testing methods relating to the project, and decisions about which should be adopted by the project and how they should be implemented * Knowledge of Automated Test Tools such as Winrunner, QTP; hands on experience will be a strong advantage * Experience of tracking defects manually and through tools * Good undertsanding of principles of Configuration Management * Good understanding of principles of defect triage * Should be able to lead collation and analysis of defect data * Should be quality conscious and exposed to established software development quality norms.
